Abdoulaye Doucouré holds a PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Montpellier, France (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie – 1995). He has spent over 20 years of his career conducting industrial research in materials science and engineering to design advanced non-woven fibrous products and to establish innovative membrane technologies.
He is a Global Technology Manager & Research Development Site Leader at Hollingsworth & Vose (Virginia, USA), a world supplier of filtration and energy storage products, which he joined in 2011. A. Doucouré previously spent 12 years at Pall Corporation (New York) developing new membrane technologies from the laboratory to full scale setting and serving the Water, Microelectronic and Healthcare Markets.
He is co-founder and president of the African Membrane Society (AMSIC) and has chaired or co-organized several international scientific venues in Mali, Morocco, South Africa and Tunisia, since 2000. A. Doucouré has co-directed one doctoral thesis at the University of Bamako (Mali) in 2016 and has fulfilled several research and teaching assignments at the Faculté des Sciences & Techniques and the Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs du Mali.
He holds 5 international patents linked to trademarked filter products and has written over 30 publications.
